The phrase, "Too weird to live, too rare to die", is one that comes from Hunter Thompson's book, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas". This book and the movie that followed it, is what inspired me for this photoshoot. I wanted to visually capture human discord at a junction with euphoria while maintaining the  style I imagined. I discovered this old Esso Station in Denton, NC and thought it would be the best place for the shoot. I gave my friends reference images to their characters and adjectives about them. They absolutely nailed the outfits and expressions.
